I was super excited to capture my 2nd set of twins this year, Grady & Violet! They were just perfect! When I was working this session, it made me think about my Mom and Dad as my brother and sister are twins, too! I’m not sure how they did it as my Dad arrived to Ellis Island from Italy just 2 days before my brother and sister were born AND he had no idea that my Mom was having twins. I remember my Dad telling us that he wanted to buy my Mom flowers after she delivered my brother and sister. Back then, fathers weren’t allowed in the delivery room. He didn’t even know how to ask for flowers as he didn’t know how to speak English! Their story always inspires me as they came to this country to live “The American Dream” and it reminds me that things don’t come easily but with hard work and perseverance you can always follow your dreams.
Back to Grady and Violet! Their little brother, Evan, was so good with them and made my job easy as he followed directions so well. He gave great eye contact and a great smile, too! I styled the twin sessions for some shots in blues and pinks and then I did some in neutrals, too! Whenever I do twin sessions I always want to make sure to not only get shots of the twins together but definitely some seperate ones, too so they will have some portraits to look back on just them.
