If you’re pregnant or just had a baby, you’ve probably seen the beautiful, sleepy newborn photos floating around on social media. And then maybe you looked up a few photographers and felt a little sticker shock. I get it—newborn photography is an investment. But if you’re wondering what goes into that cost, I’d love to walk you through it.
Because it’s so much more than just clicking a camera.
Your baby’s safety is always my top priority. I’ve trained and mentored with Bianca Hubble, one of the leading newborn photographers in the country. Every session includes my experienced assistant, who is always nearby to help spot and support your baby while I work. We both understand newborn behavior and know how to safely pose and transition them with care for the best newborn photos.
You’re not just hiring someone who owns a camera—you’re hiring someone who knows how to keep your newborn comfortable, safe, and calm throughout the session.
When you come in for your session, all you have to bring is the baby. Truly. I provide everything else—handmade outfits, layers, headbands, bonnets, wraps, props, and custom set styling based on your preferences. I even ask you about your home decor so I can design sets that will complement the room where you’ll display your portraits.
We do everything we can to make it a relaxing experience for you. Parents often enjoy coffee, snacks, and Netflix while we do the work. Some even take a nap (and we totally get it—life with a newborn is exhausting!).
I offer two types of sessions:
Images are purchased in sets of 10, and I offer a few different collections—some include just digitals, while others come with a beautiful heirloom wood print or a custom keepsake album.
These images will be around long after the newborn phase has passed. They’re not just for you—they’re for your child, and even your grandchildren. Many of my clients tell me how emotional it is to look back at these portraits years later.
And if you’re on the fence about whether it’s worth the investment, here’s the truth: you’ll never regret having these photos—but you might regret not having them.
Most of my clients book during their second trimester to ensure availability. A non-refundable retainer fee is required to hold your date. Payment plans are available, and everything is laid out clearly during our consultation so you know exactly what to expect—no hidden fees or surprises.
If you’re past the second trimester or already had your baby, still reach out! I’ll do my best to fit you in.
Newborn photography isn’t one-size-fits-all, and it’s not about having a bunch of props or trendy poses—it’s about documenting a moment in time that you’ll never get back. And my job is to make that process as easy, safe, and meaningful as possible.
