I was so honored when Meghan chose me to photograph both her maternity and newborn sessions. She had this incredible vision of a lace gown and flower crown, and let me tell you, when she arrived she adorned this Etsy find, it was pure magic (okay, okay, I’ll ditch the “m” word this time!) She looked like a goddess emerging from a sea of roses.
Mother Nature Throws a Curveball (But We Hit a Home Run!)
Our session was scheduled for a dreamy golden hour, but sometimes Mother Nature has other plans. Dark clouds rolled in, threatening a downpour right as we started! Meghan, however, stayed calm and collected (a true mama superpower!), and we quickly adapted. The lush foliage provided a natural umbrella, and those soft, diffused clouds actually created the most flattering light for her portraits.

Despite the initial sprinkle, the Columbus Park of Roses lived up to its name. The vibrant blooms provided a breathtaking backdrop, and the park’s charm shone through in every image. We even managed to capture some stunning shots with the sun peeking through the clouds – a picture-perfect ending to an adventurous session!
