I am so grateful the Kale Family, from Upper Arlington, chose me to capture their very first baby girl, Meera. They were referred to me by another client. They came to my studio for a pre-consultation which I always recommend for my clients. It’s so nice to meet my clients before the session and they can take a tour of my studio, look at my props/outfits/backdrops that I have to offer in my boutique studio. We discuss what they plan on doing with the images and what they’re envisioning for their newborn portraits.
One thing that I feel that sets me apart from other photographers is that I take the time to meet and speak with my clients on the phone so I can learn more about them. I also take the extra step to meet with them again not only for the session, but after the session for their reveal so I can help determine what they want to do with their images. So many photographers just send their digital copies and so they can move on to their next client, but I like to be a full service Photographer where I can help you select the products to display in your home, and help with design aspect as well. I will style the session based on where you plan on hanging your portraits. It is a lot more work on my part as we have to meet several times, take the time to take the orders, enter them with different vendors and then set up another appointment when the client can pick up their artwork. It’s so worth all the time and energy as I feel that I really am helping my clients. So many people who get digital copies get so overwhelmed with so many images, which ones do they print, where do they print, what products and what sizes should they print. I will help you through that entire process!
The Kale Family knew they wanted to get a canvas above their couch in their living room. I made sure to style the newborn session so that when they would hang a canvas it would coordinate with the colors in their room. Meera did an amazing job at her session. She shot me several smiles and was so good that we got a ton of great shots! They also purchased a gorgeous layflat album as a keepsake. I hope to work with Meera and her family again for future milestone sessions.
