Baby Charlotte was such a great baby to work with. She arrived to this world a little earlier than planned. She was 32 days new when I had her session, typically newborn sessions are 5-10 days new. Since she was a preemie, she was in the hospital for almost a month but was able to get released right before Easter Sunday. She slept like a champ for a majority of her session. I remember Charlotte’s Mom specifically asking me if I would get any open eyed shots and I told her most likely not because she was so sleepy. Just moments after she asked me that, I couldn’t believe that Charlotte opened up her eyes and looked right at me and shot me a smile! Actually, not a single smile, but several smiles! I couldn’t believe it. It was like she heard her mom and she wanted to make her happy. I am so happy that my clients can relax in my studio area and watch TV on the couch that I didn’t tell Charlotte’s Mom that I got several awake AND smiling shots. I love getting their reactions at the time of their viewing appointments so I wanted to surprise them and see their reaction to all her smiling images.
