I was so thrilled to capture Baby Archer’s newborn portraits, from Lewis Center.   I love when I get to peek into their car seat when they arrive to my studio.  When I saw Archer’s hair I was so excited.  I don’t think I’ve had a baby boy with that much hair so I had a ball capturing all that hair that I even styled it.

When he first arrived to the studio he was sound asleep.  So I got some sweet sleepy shots.

Then I realized that he didn’t like to be moved…at all!  So, Mom gave him a little snack and I proceeded with the potato sack pose, which most babies love. He did great, but he wasn’t a fan of being a bunny.  It seemed like every time I put the bunny hat on him, he wasn’t happy.  We just laughed because I think he was trying to tell us something, that he did not want to be a bunny!   I just love his lips in this image.

His Mom and Dad bought this precious romper.

I love chatting with my clients and getting to know their story, how they met, where they are from, etc.  Such a small world, but they both met at The University of Toledo and Angela was a Kappa Delta and her husband was a Pi Kap.  My husband and I went to The University of Toledo and I was a Chi Omega and Corey was a Theta Chi!  Then I asked what year they graduated and I felt very, very old. So we didn’t go to school together at the same time, but we did have that in common.

Lately, I’ve been adding some funny face shots to my clients galleries and I’m learning that they are loving it. This is why I am really loving it when clients come back to my studio about a week after the session to pick their favorites, I’m learning what my clients love and so I can deliver to all future clients as well.   This was hilarious because Archer was wide awake as I was posing him and during the time he had the hiccups.  He was giving me this face and I just had to capture it, the one on the right….he looks so mad at me!

Archer was awake most of the session, which can be challenging, but I still had so much fun! Thank you to the Rittler Family for allowing me to capture your sweet boy.  I hope to be able to watch him grow and continue to capture his very 1st year. Looking for a newborn photographer?
